Good afternoon dear readers and welcome back to kenbaxter.com! I am Ken Baxter of Las Vegas and today is Friday, October 10th, 2014. As you know, I have written several posts about the 7th Annual National Clean Energy Summit (NCES 7.0) we attended in September. Though there is so much more to share, I would like to wrap up this series by presenting one more powerful message we got from these extraordinary Clean Energy experts because I feel it is so important for individuals to realize that utilizing renewable resources brings us humans one step closer to our common goal of saving the planet and reversing climate change!
Besides getting to listen to Senator Harry Reid’s insightful dialogue on the latest innovations in renewable energy in Nevada, there was another forum topic broached that inspired our team to skyrocket our efforts at reversing Climate Change and saving the world!
As Americans living in such an advanced society, we sometimes take for granted all the resources available to us and we forget to realize the hardships that other countries face. Many nations in the world are desperately underserved in many ways; water and food shortages, rampant disease, outbreaks of uncontrolled violence, and the list goes on and on. Though those are all meaningful issues, one thing we can help to improve by using our constant technological advancements is the availability of reliable and safe means of electricity for even the poorest of nations.
A particularly engaging panel discussion introduced the concept of Leapfrogging Technology, referring to the notion that areas with poorly-developed technology or economic bases can move themselves forward rapidly through the adoption of modern systems without going through intermediary steps. While attempting to move forward quickly in embracing new Clean Energy technology can be extraordinarily beneficial, it does present some challenges.
The rate at which a population can accept and effectively utilize renewable resources is somewhat hampered due to the difficulties and costs involved in upgrading an infrastructure so desperately in need of complete renovation. Many large corporations and humanitarian groups are now working diligently to make these much needed changes and the payoff is quite noticeable. Less carbon pollution, cleaner and safer energy sources, the alleviation of poverty, expanded rural development, and a better quality of life are some of the many benefits of implementing sustainable energy alternatives.
In fact, leapfrogging technology affects even developed countries like the United States. Innovations come along so fast; the next big thing is always right under our nose! So what are the challenges in an economically independent nation? Well, gathering enough educated, capable workers to build, manage, and maintain the new systems is one of the biggest challenges. Another major obstacle is the increasing demand for alternative energy and the ability to effectively store enough to power users on a grand scale. As energy experts, policy leaders, and engineers continue to research and explore the best possible solutions for Clean Energy integration in the modern world, Green Global will be there to support the Renewable Energy movement and Climate Change reform!
You know, 2014 has been a year full of learning and growth for our public charity, Green Global. Over the course of the year we have received our 501(c)(3) designation, met with many formidable leaders in Clean Energy Reform, made numerous industry connections, expanded our social media efforts on Facebook and Twitter, enhanced our website to bring you the latest news and feature stories, partnered with investors to bring renewable energy sources to various investment properties in the Southwest, and attended an exhilarating convention to learn the many more things we can do to contribute to a cleaner, brighter future for America! The best thing about this year so far is that it’s not over yet, so look out, there is much more to come!
