LAND, SAND, ROCKS, SNOW, SWAMP, ICE AND WATER

It's My SHERP

Hello, Ken Baxter here in Las Vegas, NV. I am so excited to give you a peek at my amazing new SHERP. Designed by Russian engineer Alexei Garagashyan, this vehicle is just beginning to take hold in the USA. When you see one – you want one! With this all terrain, amphibious vehicle I can go anywhere! It is all about the wheels. Really big wheels. Standing next to the vehicle, each massive tire measures about 5′ tall; but these unique, tubeless, low pressure wheels are surprisingly light-weight for being so huge! Check out this video, I’m sure you will be amazed.

Did I mention the SHERP can “drive” on water? Using an incredible, patented, one-of-a-kind design – the 2” deep treads double as paddles when in the water. The aluminum body is also buoyant that will keep it afloat even without the wheels. This revolutionary tire inflation system allows the tires to be deflated to accommodate driving on soft snow, mud, swamp and even water – then re-inflated on dry land. With the pull of a lever, the vehicle’s exhaust is diverted and will re-inflate the tires…all this happens in 25 seconds.

The SHERP and its amazing wheels can easily climb over obstacles in its path. Big desert boulders over 3ft in diameter and it can tackle a 35° grade. Now I can plow through fields of rock, sand, snow, swamp grass, fallen trees, on the ice and even in the water. The design of the SHERP was developed in such a way that if needed, a repair could be carried out anywhere with a minimal stash of tools without any specialized knowledge. The vehicle can still operate with only two tires.

STATS for Nerds

  • Weight – 2,866 lbs
  • Fuel – Diesel
  • Engine – Kubota-V1505t

Imagine the possibilities for search and rescue teams. Here in Las Vegas, every year we hear about hikers and climbers that have miscalculated or strayed from the trails in Red Rock Canyon and Mount Charleston, search and rescue will usually send in a chopper to retrieve them. The SHERP can go to areas that would be too risky for a helicopter to access. .I would love to be a part of this team to help in any way I can.

Lastly, as you know we started our 501C-3 charity, Green Global because of our passion for the environment and goal of helping bring the end of practices such as mindless deforestation, polluting of our precious water resources and more. Many times the evidence of activity is happening in areas where the natural terrain can provide cover until the damage is fully underway. With a vehicle such as this, it will be possible to get back into areas that even a 4 WD vehicle cannot go! Let me where you would take a SHERP, I would love to hear from you.
